A week ago the underdogs attempted to sign Adam Clark to a $6/3 tournament deal, but the free agent declined the offer. Following that news the Rapids became very interested in making Adam an offer, but over the last week the team never pulled the trigger on the idea.
In desperation, the underdogs increased their offer to $10/2 tournaments, which Adam accepted this time around. Perhaps Adam declined their first offer because he felt he could hold out for a better offer from the team, or maybe he was hoping another team would try to sign him.
Either way, Adam Clark who in his JAL rookie debut (JAL XI) ranked #1 in on base percentage and had an ERA of 4.73 for the Vancouver Cobras, is now a member of the Ubbelohde Hill underdogs.
