Lynx Release Tierney Uhlenkott, Make Contract Offer To Jordan Halverson

Free agency action in the JAL has begun. This afternoon the Lynx have decided they will do everything in their power to re-sign Jordan Halverson. In order to do so, a sacrifice had to be made.

Tierney Uhlenkott, who had one tournament left on her $20/3-tournament contract, has been released by Toutle.

Shortly after, the Lynx made Jordan Halverson a $50/5-tournament contract offer.

"I want to re-sign Jordan and need wiggle room in the budget," said Lynx owner JoLynn McCully who feels bad about the move to let Tierney go.

Tierney had proved valuable to the Lynx as DH in the last two tournaments, but has been considered one of the most overpaid players in the league. However, since word got out to the other team owners that she is now a free agent, there is already serious interest from a couple of them to try and sign her.

Jordan on the other hand will hold off on the Lynx offer for the moment, saying any other team hoping to sign him has until Wednesday at 3 p.m. to make him a pitch, or he will re-sign with Toutle.
