Sunday's Preseason Game Results

On Sunday the Lynx, Storm and Express each agreed to play each other in a preseason round-robin at CRMS Field. Below are results from each of the games with a few additional details.

Storm vs Lynx

The Storm offense picked up right where they left off last season as one of the highest scoring teams in the league. Lynx star pitcher Matthew Morton struggled early giving up 10 runs in the first inning, but eventually worked into a grove by the end of the game. Once he did, however, it was far too late for the Lynx to mount a comeback. Ethan Erickson started the game at pitcher for the Storm and played great. Adams provided relief late in the game.

Lynx vs Express

After getting embarrassed by the Storm the Lynx bounced back with an impressive extra innings win over the Express. Morton allowed only 6 runs through 5 innings and the Toutle bats came alive in the 7th inning (7 runs) to secure the victory. Josh Burckhardt started the game at pitcher for the Express but was replaced by Kyle Godinho about halfway through. Godinho pitched at only about 70% effort as it was of course, only a preseason game.

Express vs Storm

Kyle Godinho started the game for the Express who got out to an early lead that they never relinquished. Marcus Deyo subbed in at pitcher roughly halfway though the game. On the other side Aaron Adams pitched most of the game for the Storm. Although it was in a losing effort, the Storm's new signee, Nick Proudfit, had a good batting performance.
