Ty Johnson Wins JAL X MVP

Going into the Rapids final regular season game against Silver Lake it looked as if Ty would be going home empty handed of any awards hardware.

The Rapids had an 0-2 record with losses of 0-5 to the Lynx and 0-10 to the Cobras respectively. At this point the Rapids needed to beat Silver Lake and the Bison to lose by a lot in order to secure the 4th and bottom playoff spot.

Ty's pitching style is simple... Throw it hard, but in the first two games he lacked control. But with the season on the line Ty rose to the occasion and dialed it in.

"Of course JAL is always fun even if you're losing," said Ty. "It's good to have fun, but it's more fun to be good."

Fastball after fastball blowing by batters, his momentum mounted. Before anyone had time to react Ty was hoisting the WWCD Cup for the 3rd time in his career, but more memorably the first time in the Rapids franchise history.

Ty's performance easily goes down as the best in JAL history to date. Allowing only one hit in the Rapids playoff run he was near perfect.
