JAL XII MVP Goes to Kyle Godinho

Some tournaments deciding the MVP is tough, and sometimes it’s painfully obvious. In JAL XII it was the latter. Kyle Godinho of the Missouri Express has been named JAL XII MVP, and it should come as no surprise.

Kyle lead the Express to an undefeated tournament, in which the Express outscored their opponents by a total of 40-6. Kyle started at pitcher for the team in 4 of their 5 total games and gave up only 4 total runs. To cap it all off, he threw a no-hitter in the WWCD Cup.

On offense Kyle was an efficient hitter, but make no mistake that his strikeout after strikeout at pitcher is what won him MVP honors in his rookie tournament. It was without question the single most dominant performance by a player in league history.

It will take more than just one tournament, but Kyle is definitely already moving quickly on his way to becoming the GOAT of JAL.

The JAL XII Crown Winners (Batting, Pitching, Fielding) will be announced tomorrow and the All-Star team on Thursday.
