Proudfit was signed to the Storm at the begging of the off-season, but this morning the team announced he will not remain on the roster.
Recent signings of rookies Tyler Hudson and Kyle King, two players team owner Kyle Koopman thinks have good potential, certainly helped aid the decision.
Though Proudfit was the only ranked player on the roster (#19), Koopman is confident both rookies will be better than him in the long run. Rather than keeping Proudfit on the roster as a role player taking up roster and cap space, Koopman has decided to focus the attention of the team solely on his rookies and build from there.
