Cale Johnson Exercises Opt Out Option to Re-sign for 1 Season

Writer's picture: JALJAL

Cobras player Cale Johnson has decided to exercise the opt out option in his contract with the team and re-sign for just 1 season. He only chose to do so because if he had not he would have been locked into the contract for 2 additional seasons without another opt out option in them.

His new contract is for the same amount ($5 per season). The new deal will allow Cale to sign a much larger contract with the team again after JAL 14 when the cap goes way or (or gone). Cale has played his entire 10 season career (modern franchise era) with the Cobras and wants do so forever.
