Outstanding Rookie: Awarded to the best performing rookie player
Outstanding Manager: Awarded to the best performance by someone who holds a front office position (owner, general manager, coach, ect.)
Remember, the all-star selection format also changed recently. From now on a National Conference team of players and an American Conference team of players will be selected to make up two separate teams. Also, a player at the pitcher and fielder position will be required on both teams so that each has a "complete" roster. Previously it has been just a mash up of 2 teams worth of players.
