The Mafia have signed rookie Taylor Yeo, an 18 year old former baseball player from Woodland. The signing comes just a day after the team cut ties with rookie Adam Luoto.
With Yeo the Mafia now are back to having a three man roster. Whether or not they will elect to fill their final roster spot is undetermined.
Yeo and Northwest agreed to a rookie max contract.
"I don't plan on using him for more than batting, but he will be a good addition to our team," said franchise owner Taite Kleine.
Northwest opens the JAL 14 season vs Missouri. Their other 2 regular season games are against Toutle and Castle Rock.
