Ubbelohde Hill's new general manager Ryan Fish has made his second signing since taking the position this offseason. Trisha Martell (rookie) has agreed to join the team under a $15/2-season deal.
Martell has 15 plus years of experience playing fast and slow pitch softball. On the skills she will bring to the u-dogs Fish says she "will be a solid fielder," and that her hitting shouldn't be underestimated.
"She will be a key contributor to improving the underdogs over the next couple of seasons," he added.
Right now the team has yet to name a starter at the fielding position as Macee Utecht is still on the roster and Fish says they have no intention of releasing her before the season starts.
