Last night the Anaheim Storm decided to make one more roster move before the season begins today. Rookie Zach Sheldon was signed to a minimum deal, and Colby Mazza (also rookie) - who was signed to the team earlier this offseason - was released.
Mazza was listed to be a pitcher for the Storm, and Sheldon is not, so the team will essentially be dropping a player at that position. Sheldon is however expected to bat and possibly play the field.
Later today the Storm will take on the Rapids, Bison, and Bambinos in their first 3 games of the season. 4/5 of the players on their roster are active for today's action. They will be expected to go 1-2.
