After an 0-6 season it's inevitable that some cuts are going to be made.
Yesterday the Northwest Mafia released Andrew Walling and Josh Burckhardt. Both were rookies in JAL 15, though Burckhardt was out for the entire season.
On why each were cut, team co-owner Taitie Kleine said Walling just simply didn't turn out to be as good as he had hoped and Burckhardt wasn't reliable enough to keep around.
With the releasements, neither player will be able to sign again with the Mafia until after JAL 16 (JAL rules), but both will now be on the market for anyone else to acquire when free agency begins on January 13th.
