Sasquatches Ink 2 Rookies

The Green Mountain Sasquatches have officially signed their first players in franchise history. Rookies Brandon Koenig (pictured left) and Jared Neiman (pictured right) have each agreed to $10/2-season deals apiece.

About a week and half ago Green Mountain general manager and co-owner, Josh Wall, reported that the team had engaged in negations with the 2 players and that deals were likely to be finalized soon. Today that has obviously become a reality.

For the Sasquatches, Koenig is currently set to be the ace pitcher and bat. No word has been made yet about if Neiman's role on the team will go beyond just batting.

Athletically Neiman is 6'5 and Koenig around 5'6. Neiman is also 21 years old and Koenig 22. They both are from Kalama, WA.

"Our organization is excited about our first contracts under our new name and have faith that Neiman and Koenig have potential to make us a real contender in the league and shouldn't be underestimated," said Wall.

Before the season begins the Sasquatches will have to sign at least 1 more player to their roster (max of 3 more). When and who that might be is pure speculation as of now, but many around the league expect Wall to also sign himself to the roster at some point, being that he has 4 seasons of prior playing experience.
