Wrecking Crew Brings On 2 Manager/Players

Longview Wrecking Crew Owner Carl Stello has added 2 important pieces to the franchise — rookie Jesse Gomez has been hired as "Manager" of the team and veteran Kyle Koopman has been hired as "Assistant Manager. Both have also signed minimum deals as players.

Gomez is 23, from Longview and served as an assistant coach on the Castle Rock baseball team this spring. Koopman on the other hand, brings experience to the table as a former owner of the Storm franchise and has played 5 career seasons.

Prior to signing Koopman and Gomez, Stello released McElroy, Deister, Guthrie and Jantzer from the playing roster. Longview's roster still contains Scott Coleman, so 3 spots are taken and 2 more can still be filled. Stello said the team is planning to fill the roster to the 5-person max and is currently in talks with players, but names are not being made public.
