The young Anaheim Storm are eyeballing the playoffs this season and management feels the acquisition of a veteran presence to will serve them well down the stretch. Yesterday, the team signed Colby Gaston to a small 2-season deal. Gaston was a member of the Storm in JAL 13 when the franchise made its unexpected run to the WWCD Cup.
Gaston played for a different team in JAL 14 and 15 and has not been a roster this season. When offered a spot with the Storm, Gaston joked about his new role of being the grizzled vet who's been-there done-that, but accepted the deal without hesitation.
